Chersonesos Chersonesos Taurica is an ancient city founded by Greeks in the V century B.C. on the territory of modern Sevastopol. The city existed for 2 thousand years. Nowadays, it is a national historical reserve of the ancient and Byzantine culture.
Inkerman. The main sight of the town is the Kalamita Fortress, 6th - 15th c., standing on the top of the Monastyrs'ka Rock. In the lower part of the rock the Inkermans'kyi cave monastery, 8th - 9th c., is situated.
Here the famous Inkerman Battle of the Russian army against the Anglo-French troops took place in 1854.
