Flights canceled
 In many Ukrainian local city airports, including the Kiev Boryspil airport (KBP), flights are being canceled because of bad weather conditions. Thick fogs that have been very frequent this winter, are not the only reason to this. Because of lack of special runway cleaning equipment and insufficient technologies, the necessary maintenance of runways becomes impossible. Clearing runways from ice and snow takes dozens of hours, and thousands of passengers become victims of poor management of the local airports. This winter, it is not ususual situation when passengers have to wait for 2-3 days to finally take their flights.
If you are planning a trip to Ukraine this winter, try to avoid taking domestic flights between Ukrainian cities. Thankfully, the railroad transport works well no matter what the weather is, and passengers are recommended to plan their trips to travel mainly by trains within the country.
