The fifth annual International forum “Slobozhansky Mist - 2008” will be held in September, 25-27 in Sumy. The organizers of the Forum are Sumy State Regional Administration and the Sumy Chamber of Commerce.

Sumy oblast belongs to the top five most attractive investment areas in Ukraine. Sumy is considered to have rich investment potential, so the City State Administration is doing its best to attract foreign investments to the economy of the oblast.

From the experience of the previous year, about 70 business plans were represented to the fair participants during the “Slobozhansky Mist -2007”.

This year, the participants of the Forum came from Russia, Belarusia, Georgia, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Latvia, German, Italy, Bulgaria, Poland, Slovakia, UAE, Turkey and from all corners of Ukraine.

One of the tasks set by the Forum is to develop positive investment image of the Sumy oblast, to attract foreign and domestic investments to the regional economy, to intensify the development of industry, agriculture and tourism in the region.
