Days Events
Day 1 Arrive in Lviv by plane. Sign into your hotel. Enjoy dinner, followed by a walking excursion around the central city.
Day 2 Breakfast in the hotel. Bus excursion to Olesskiy castle Lunch Bus excursion to the Shevchenko's Ghai open-air museum of popular architecture and lifestyle (the museum presents a collection of original wooden buildings and huts that were traditional of the old Ukrainian countryside lifestyle during the 18th and 19th Centuries.) Dinner
Day 3 Walking excursion of the Old City of Lviv: view city architecture from the 16th to 20th centuries, visit the cathedral of St. Peter and Paul, Market Square, Catholic cathedral, Armenian Church, Bernardine Castle and monastery, (XVIIÓÔ.). Visit a Drugstore-museum, Arsenal museum, and Historical museum. Lunch Free time. Depart for Kiev by train.
Day 4 Arrive in Kiev. Sign into hotel. Breakfast. Bus/walking excursion about central Kiev. Visit churches of St. Sofia, Michael's Cathedral and monastery, Andrew's Church, Chreschatyk, Independence square. Lunch in central city. Free time. Optional excursions: Boat trip down Dnepro river, or to Kiev Botanic garden, Kiev zoo, or to historical museum. Dinner. Walking around central Kiev in the evening.
Day 5 Walking excursion around Kiev-Pechersk Lavra - monasteries, churches and caves as old monuments of Christian history. Lunch Free time. Depart for Poltava by fast train. Arrive in Poltava and sign into hotel. Dinner Free time in evening to enjoy sights of this old Ukrainian city.
Day 6 Breakfast. Bus excursion to center of Ukrainian national countryside life and monasteries around Poltava: Gadyach, Mgar, Opyshne, Sorochintsy. Early Dinner. Free time. Optional: Walking excursion around Poltava Depart for Kharkov by fast train. Late evening - arrive in Kharkov. Sign into hotel.
Day 7 Breakfast. Walking excursion around central Kharkov. Lunch. Free time. Optional: visiting Historical museum, Shevchenko park, Kharkov city zoo. Early dinner. Visit the Opera House or Organ Hall (depending on the concerts available)
Day 8 Breakfast. Bus excursion to Svyatogorsk monastery complex. Lunch there: enjoy a picnic outside in a beautiful, natural setting. Dinner back in Kharkov. Depart for Crimea by overnight train.
Day 9 Arrive in Sevastopol. Sign into hotel. Breakfast. Walking excursion around Sevastopol. Visit the famous historical places in central city: Primorsky Boulevard, Grafskaya Pristan, Historical Boulevard, Lunch Visit the Navy Museum and Museum Panorama of Sevastopol. Free time. Dinner in central city.
Day 10 Bus excursion to the Black Sea coastal parks and museums - Alupka (Knight's Vorontsov's palace and gorgeous surrounding parkland, Livadia Palace (place of the famous Yalta Conference of 1943), and Yalta - tourist city at the Black Sea coast. Lunch in Yalta. Free time in Yalta. Return to Sevastopol. Dinner and optional walk around the illuminated city in the evening.
Day 11 Walking excursion to Khersones - ancient Greek city at the Black Sea coast. Visit St. Vlamdimir's Cathedral - site of the baptism of the Lievan Rus. Lunch in central city. Free time. Optional - bus excursion to Balaklava - former Russian Navy base and old Scythian tower Kalamita. Dinner in Sevastopol. Free time in the evening.
Day 12 Breakfast. Sign out of the hotel. Bus excursion to Bakhchi Saray - old Tatar Khan castle and museum. Optional - visit an ancient Scythian cave city, Chufut-Kale. Bus ride to Simferopol. Early dinner in Simferopol. Departure from Simferopol airport depending on your flight arrangments.
