A small village of Kulevchi, located near Odessa, has become known by a phenomenon which isn’t explained by scientists, neither by medical expertise. Miraculous icons of the Saint Nikolay Church obtained the wide popularity among pilgrims, diseased people, and just curious travelers.

Annually the icon place of Kazan Mother of God is adorned by blooming lilies. Every year before Easter celebration the flowers revive, when it seemed had been completely dried. Without water, soil and air access the stalks and buds sprout up from the dry stalks.

During the restoration works it was found the another occasion that the contour of the sacred images on an icon with photographic accuracy stamped on the glass.

In 2001, the father superior made the observations of some of the relics in the Church.  He found that the small chrism crosses and the smooth flows of chrism appeared on the wall icons, which had not been seen before. After that the church utensils have been put under the special attention. They say the changes on the icons appear from time to time. But still there is no scientific explanation to this phenomenon.

People believe that the icons of St. Nikolay Church heal everyone who wanting it. “The hopeless people from different places come here to ask for help and they find it. That is the miracle which made them believe and turn them to life” - says the priest of St. Nikolay Church.

For today there are 900 miracles proofs registered in the Church, in spite of the fact that it was discovered only several years ago.
