Sand wonders of the world in Kharkiv
Kharkiv invites to visit a new sand city. Built on the occasion of the Day of Children’s Defense (June 1), this huge sandbox will be interesting not only for children but for their parents and all who enjoy history and art.
This is the second year in a row when the city authorities organize sand sculptures in the heart of Kharkiv (the central square). Last year, the main theme of the sand labyrinth was characters of famous fairy tales.
This time, its architectural wonders of the world: the Great Chinese Wall, the Egyptian pyramids, the Pisa and Eiffel towers, Inca pyramids, ancient Slavic temples, etc. To create such beauty, the artists used more than two tons of sand and 20 days of hard work. In overall, there were 32 people working over the project.
The sculptures will be available for attendance till the early autumn. All sand constructions were covered with a special solution based on glue so that the sand masterpieces could survive through the all adverse weather conditions.
