About Kharkov
In the end of June, the President of Ukraine signed the decree “About the State Award in Architecture 2009”. A number of Ukrainian designers, architects and engineers have been recently named and awarded for their achievements in architecture in 2009.
The founders of the exhibition center “Radmir Expohall” in Kharkiv were also among the ones who were awarded. They presented a project of a unique specialized exhibition center in the Eastern Ukraine. It’s designed to hold congresses, forums, exhibitions, conferences and other events at local, regional and international levels.
A number of awards were also assigned to the architect Yaroslav Taras for his illustrated dictionary and the handbook “Ukrainian Sacral Wood Architecture”, to a team of architects and engineers from Odessa for their architectural project of residential house “Belyi Parus”, for an architectural construction of the trade center and administrative house in Donetsk, and for an office and trade construction in Kiev.
