Apartments in central Kiev

If this is your first time in Ukraine, you may need to know this information about renting apartments in Kiev or other cities in Ukraine.

In mid-summer, apartments in central Kiev can be found at the sost of $60 and higher. If you want to stay in a nice, cosy and welcoming environment, you can hardly find a cheaper lodging in Ukraine's capital today.

A good news for those who are traveling with one or more companions - the daily cost is taken for the whole apartment, no matter how many people are going to saty there. In a hotel, you'd have to pay $60+ each for one night of stay.

Many private apartment owners in Ukraine, as well as companies that rent apartments on per day basis, will require a one-day deposit to be paid well in advance, as a guarantee that the apartment is waiting for you and is not rented to anyone else.

Majority of owners will prefer to receive the whole sum of payment for your stay on the first day upon your arrival. They may accept both - local curency (Ghryvnya), or dollars, or Euros. 

Do not forget to request the owner's phone number at the moment of signing into the apartment, and to ask about all the services you want to receive, at the moment of signing in. For example, cleaning, laundry, cooking your breakfast or any other services may not be included into the cost of stay, so you need to discuss this at once.   

Some owners may request that you let them have your passport for the time of stay. Though these situations happen quite seldom, we would like to warn you against giving your documents to anybody.

A so-called two-room apartment would have literary two rooms - a living room and a bedroom. The living room will usually have a coach which can be used for sleeping, and there will be bed linen available for both rooms. There will also be a well-wquipped kitchen, and a mice looking bathroom. Some apartments have air-conditioning system; in winter, all apartments would be heated well.
