In the beginning of April, one of the most famous tourist attractions in Ukraine, a town Kamenets-Podolsky (Ukrainian spelling: Kamyanets Podilskiy) is expecting to watch numerous holiday activities, associated with opening or the new tourist season. The coordinators of the project pursue the purpose to open up the travel/tourism potential of Kamenets- Podolsky.

On April, 2-4, the following events are planned: cooking festival, the fair of souvenirs and printed products, photo exhibition, music and sports competitions, exhibitions, flying by airplanes and canoeing. Among planned activities, a presentation of the tourist attraction places in Kamenets-Podolsky will be held.

Kamenets Podolsky is one of the oldest cities in Ukraine. The number of landmarks of XI-XIX centuries counts about 200 buildings. A powerful defensive fortification of the Old City, a fortress and a bridge, monasteries and churches- all leave an unforgettable impression. Among the places of interests there are a Cathedral Roman Catholic Church of Apostles Petr and Pavel (XVI-XVIII cent.), a Turkish Minaret (Mosque), a Franciscan Roman Catholic Church (XIV-XVIII cent.), the Town Hall (XIV-XIX cent.), the Nikolay’s Church (XIV cent.), etc. The Old City is located on the peninsula, surrounded by a picturesque canyon of Smotrych River. This is why it is still preserving a fantastic view of old times and has a tremendous historical value.
